The practising veterinarian has three options for the treatment of animals: 1) use of a commercial drug according to the guidelines of the labels; 2) extra-label drug use of a commercial product (ELDU); 3) use of a compounded product. The producer should never mix drugs at the farm without clear indication from the health professionals (veterinarian or pharmacist). CDPQ Team
